Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Funnel Mill Roast

There's nothing quite like a perfectly golden, crispy grilled cheese sandwich paired with a hot cup of Funnel Mill Roast coffee for the ultimate comfort experience.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of thick-cut sourdough or brioche bread
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 oz sharp cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 1 oz Gruyère cheese, sliced
  • 1 oz fontina cheese, sliced
  • 3 tbsp of brewed Funnel Mill Roast coffee
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt

Instructions:

Spread a generous, even layer of softened butter on one side of each bread slice. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the cheddar, Gruyère, and fontina cheeses evenly. Place a skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-low heat. Allow it to warm up for about 1 minute. Place the sandwich butter-side down in the pan. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the bottom is deep golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3–4 minutes until the second side is golden and the cheese is fully melted. Remove from heat, let rest for 1 minute, then slice diagonally and serve immediately with a freshly brewed cup of Funnel Mill Roast coffee.
