Soccer is the world's game — and coffee is the world's drink. Both are about precision, passion, and the perfect moment. The Golden Boot brings them together using Funnel Mill's boldest roasts and most nuanced ingredients, layered like a perfectly executed set piece.
Whether you're watching the World Cup with friends or savoring a solo match-day ritual, this recipe delivers championship-level flavor in every sip.
The Starting Lineup Ingredients:
- Balthazar (Triple Ristretto) — Our borderline-burned South American dark roast. Very bold, very dark cocoa. Not for the faint of heart — just like a World Cup final.
- Kyoto Cold Drip Concentrate — Slow-extracted over 24–48 hours using our water drip Syphon method, capturing up to 84% of the bean's flavor. The precision midfielder of this recipe.
- Vanilla Milk — Made in-house with real, unsweetened Tahitensis vanilla beans. Smooth, creamy, and naturally sweet.
- Cascara — The husk of the coffee cherry, grown organically in Costa Rica by Las Lajas micro mill. Brewed as a tea, it's fruity, antioxidant-rich, and the perfect halftime refresher.
- Masala Chai Spice — Warm, aromatic, and the finishing touch that elevates the whole drink.
Instructions:
Serves 1 | Prep time: 10 min
First Half — Build the Base:
- Brew a small cup of Cascara by steeping in hot water for 5–7 minutes. Set aside to cool — this is your halftime refresher.
- Pull a triple ristretto using Balthazar beans. Bold, concentrated, and powerful.
Second Half — Assemble:
- Fill a tall glass with ice.
- Pour 1 oz of Kyoto Cold Drip Concentrate as the base layer.
- Slowly pour the Balthazar triple ristretto over the cold drip — watch the layers form like a perfect set piece.
- Top with Vanilla Milk, steamed or cold depending on the season.
- Finish with a pinch of Masala Chai Spice on top.
Serve the brewed Cascara on the side as a palate cleanser between sips.
